The KF Centre for Excellence was proud to host Legends & Legacy on May 30, 2026, one of the signature events held during the 2026 Memorial Cup in Kelowna.

The evening brought together Canadian Hockey League (CHL) executives, alumni, partners, sponsors, and community leaders to celebrate the rich history of junior hockey and recognize the individuals who have helped shape the game across generations.

Held beneath the Centre’s collection of historic aircraft, Legends & Legacy marked two significant milestones: the 50th anniversary of the CHL and the 30th anniversary of the Kelowna Rockets.

Guests enjoyed an evening of connection, storytelling, and recognition, reflecting on the people, teams, and moments that have contributed to the success and legacy of junior hockey in Canada.

“We were honoured to welcome the CHL and Memorial Cup guests to the KF Centre,” said Chris Lapointe, Executive Director of the KF Centre for Excellence. “The Legends & Legacy event celebrated an important chapter in Canadian sport, and we were proud to share our facility with the hockey community during such a significant milestone year.”

As Kelowna welcomed visitors from across the country for the Memorial Cup, the Legends & Legacy celebration offered an opportunity to showcase the region’s aerospace industries while highlighting one of the Okanagan’s most unique venues.
