Artefact Donations & Gifts

We’re honoured that so many people feel inspired to contribute to the KF Centre for Excellence’s growing collection. Every artefact we display helps tell the story of aviation in the Okanagan and beyond—and we’re deeply grateful for the thoughtfulness of those who consider donating.

To ensure that our collection remains meaningful, relevant, and manageable, we’ve implemented a formal donations policy.

How to Submit a Donation

for Consideration

If you have an artefact or collection you’d like to donate:
1

Please do not leave your item at the Centre. We are unable to accept unsolicited drop-offs. We accept drop-offs on Thursdays & Fridays ONLY.
2

Complete a Deed of Gift form or visit our front reception area for a copy.
3

Once completed, download and email your form to our Curator, Gerry, who is on site Thursdays and Fridays.
4

Gerry will review your donation to see if it aligns with our collection mandate and will follow up with you to coordinate a drop-off.

We encourage you to take a moment to reach out to Gerry via email at g.markovich@kfcentre.ca if you have questions.

Important Notes

Unsolicited in-person donations cannot be accepted.

Not all submissions will be accepted. We appreciate your generosity, but please understand that due to space, preservation considerations, and curatorial focus, not all donations can be added to the Centre’s collection.

If you have travelled from out of town, we kindly ask that you complete the Deed of Gift form, download it, and send it with photos to Gerry. Should the donation not meet our criteria, we will contact you to arrange pickup. If pickup is not possible, the item may be redirected to a local non-profit organization.

We truly appreciate your generosity and your desire to help us preserve and celebrate the legacy of aviation. Thank you for your support.
