Supporting Local Art and Community Impact
The KF Centre for Excellence is honoured to host Kelowna Gospel Mission‘s (KGM) 2025 Art for Impact: An Okanagan Fine Art Auction on April 5. Art for Impact 2025 Invite This inspiring evening will bring together artists, community members, and supporters to celebrate creativity while raising awareness and funding vital programs for those in need demonstrating the transformative power of art.
Kelowna artist, Rod Tribiger, has completed a stunning painting of The De Haviland Mosquito, owned by the Centre’s Founder, Barry Lapointe. Rod’s connection to the Mosquito and the story of ‘F for Freddy‘ combined with an interesting family connection to De Haviland captured his heart. The artwork will be auctioned at the Art for Impact event, which is expected to generate significate proceeds for KGM.
Our Commitment to the Community
At the Centre for Excellence, we believe in supporting nonprofit events that create meaningful change. By providing a venue for Art for Impact, we are proud to help the Kelowna Gospel Mission in its work to provide shelter, outreach, and life-changing programs for people experiencing homelessness.
“The Centre for Excellence is more than an aviation hub; it’s a place where we bring people together to inspire and uplift one another,” says Chris Lapointe, Executive Director at the Centre. “Partnering with KGM for this event aligns with our mission and vision of making a positive difference in our community.”
By opening our doors to events like Art for Impact, we continue to strengthen our commitment to being a community-focused organization. We invite the public to join us on April 5 for an evening of art, connection, and giving back.
